Hon. Daniel Yao Agbezudor, an aspiring Deputy Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ho Central Constituency, has secured the number one position on the ballot ahead of the party’s upcoming regional elections.
With only days remaining before the polls, Mr Agbezudor and his campaign team are calling on party delegates to support his candidature, citing his contributions to the party and his commitment to strengthening its structures in the Constituency, Volta Region and beyond.
Team Agbezudor campaign said his record of service and continued involvement in party activities make him a suitable candidate for the position.
The team has urged delegates and party faithfuls to make what it describes as an informed choice in the upcoming elections, stressing the importance of electing leaders capable of strengthening the NDC’s organisational structures and improving its standing in the constituency and beyond.
In a statement outlining his reasons for contesting, Mr Agbezudor said his ambition was driven by a desire to uphold the ideals of the NDC and contribute to building a stronger party at the constituency level.
He said he intended to draw on his professional experience, organisational skills and commitment to service to support the work of the constituency leadership.
Mr Agbezudor further pledged to work closely with constituency executives, branch executives, party cadres and supporters to promote unity and strengthen collaboration among members.
He maintained that leadership should be defined by service, commitment and the ability to inspire others, citing leadership author John C. Maxwell’s assertion that, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”
As the election approaches, the aspiring Deputy Constituency Secretary has appealed to delegates and party members for their prayers and support, expressing confidence that unity and collective effort would help strengthen the party’s grassroots structures.
The NDC’s internal elections form part of efforts to elect party officers and reinforce its organisational structures ahead of future political activities.
