The Ghana Police Service is investigating the death of a 33-year-old man who allegedly died after being stabbed by his 19-year-old girlfriend during a disagreement at Ofankor Barrier in Accra.
The deceased, identified as Enoch Abrokwa, reportedly sustained a deep chest wound during a confrontation with his girlfriend, Emmanuella Asante, at his business premises on Friday, October 9, 2026.
According to a press release issued by the Accra Regional Police Command on Wednesday, October 21, preliminary investigations indicate that the disagreement escalated, resulting in the suspect allegedly stabbing Abrokwa in the chest with a piece of broken glass.
He was initially rushed to a hospital at Taifa-Burkina before being referred to the Ridge Hospital, where he underwent surgery for a deep wound that affected his intestines.
However, he died on October 14 while receiving treatment.
