As Christians across the globe are gearing up toward the Easter celebration, the government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Interior has declared Friday, April 3, and Monday, April 6, 2026, as statutory holidays.
Captured in a statement signed by the minister for interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), the ministry noted that Friday and Monday mark Good Friday and Easter on the Christian calendar and therefore are statutory public holidays.
He said the days should be observed as such throughout the Country
