As part of the new year celebration, Support the Sick Foundation has supported some patients at the Ho municipal hospital in the Volta region.
Ms. Rita Fafa Dey, the Vice president of Support the Sick Foundation said, the foundation seeks to show love to many needy and abandoned patients whose families have left at the various hospitals.
She noted that, festive seasons are times where loved ones need to give hope to the needy and members of their families especially those who are sick.
She called on all other institutions to show love to the needy and encourage families not to abandon their patients and families at the hospitals during the festive season.
The founder of the foundation, Pastor Wisdom Gbitor, admonished all patients not to lose hope in the Lord no matter their challenges.
He however assured that, God is aware of every situation we find ourselves hence will never forsake us.
He also congratulated the nurses on duty for their good works to humanity and advised them never to give up on their professions.
On the side of the nurses, a midwife at the facility Madam Vivian Tettey Ziwu, expressed gratitude to the foundation for their kind gesture.
“We are grateful for the love you have shown the patients even at the time nobody thought of them, not even their families”. She stated.
She further called on other churches and institutions to emulate the kind gesture extended to them by the Support the Sick Foundation.
As at the time of filling this story, about fifty (50) babies were delivered in December according to Madam Emilia Adzo.
She therefore appealed to the public to support staff with bedsheets, delivery pads, delivery sets and other instruments which will enhance effective delivery.
From Ho, the foundation visited the Hohoe hospital and Margaret Marquart Catholic hospital at Kpando where they also donated some items to the patients.
BACKGROUND
Support the Sick Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which seeks to support the sick and needy patients at the various hospital within the Volta and Oti regions.
The foundation which was founded by Pastor Wisdom Gbitor in 2020 has supported many needy and abandoned patients at the various hospitals across the two regions.
