Sokode Gbogame MA JHS B crowned champions of Glucose Academy Quiz Competition

The 3rd edition of the Glucose Academy Quiz Competition in collaboration with Ho Municipal Education Directorates has once again crowned Sokode Gbogame MA Junior High School (JHS) B as the champions as they show the “slow but sure” moves to beat the sensational Eli International School at the final.

Gbogame MA JHS B topped their group at the preliminary stage to qualify to the grand finale with the likes of Sokode Lokoe MA JHS, Sokode Gbogame MA JHS A and the Eli International School (Elinta) the only private school to make it to the finals for the first time with their fine and brilliant performance to top their group at the preliminary stage against the last year champions Matter Ecclesia School and New Seed International School.

The four round contest in the finals saw Eli International School coming apal with maiden champions with 10points appeal, came second at round two (2) and won the third round but failed to maintain their fine form in the last round stage “Problem of the day” loosing 6 points to Sokode Gbogame MA JHS B who were crowned with the overall points of 48 against 45points.

The overall results from the contest saw Sokode Gbogame MA JHS B had 48 points ahead of ELI International School came second with 45points followed by Sokode Gbogame MA JHS A who managed 22points and Sokode Lokoe MA JHS pulled just 15points at the grand finale.

Sokode Gbogame MA JHS B won the maiden contest held in 2021, subsequently lost the title to Matter Ecclesia School last year and came back strongly to win the third edition.

Congratulating the participating schools, after the contest Mr. Hanson Awude the president of the Glucose Academy thanked and appealed to the schools to always respond to their calls anytime they knocked at their doors

He called on the student body to continue and never relent on their studies to enable them to raise the names of their schools to also make the subsequent programmes a very competitive one.

Rev. Vincent Adzika the National Commission for Civic Education NCCE Municipal Director of Ho urged student of the participating school to disregard the misleading sayings among the youths that “You can only do well in Mathematics and Science, unless you use hard drugs especially Marijuana”.

The third edition held on Friday, October 20 hosted eight schools from the Sokode Circuit at Sokode Senior High Technical School assembly hall who contested for the ultimate, certificate, cash prices, and souvenirs from MTN were presented to the participating schools and the winners.
