Senior State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Department (AGD) in the Volta Region, Lawyer Andrews Dodzi Adugu, has shared the story of journey that led him to becoming a lawyer.
Addressing the youths at the Barcamp Ho in the Volta regional capital, Mr. Adugu noted that, his original aim was not to become a lawyer.
He observed that, during his Senior High School (SHS) days at the Achimota high school, he wanted to become a rapper because he developed love for rap music at the time.
He said, at the University, he met a lady who he really liked but did not like him back in return and “due to my ego, I felt I was rejected because I was not rich and that was why the lady was not giving me attention.”
He underscored, the disappointment kept him moving and years down the line, he has become a very successful senior state attorney.
Lawyer Adugu used the story as part of his presentation to encourage and inspire the youths to use rejection as an inspiration for redirection and success rather than to allow it drown them.
The Barcamp Ho is a networking forum held by GhanaThink on October 21 2023 at the Prof. Kofi Ayindoho auditorium to bring people together.
