The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Afadzato South has acquired a new constituency office, marking a significant milestone after years without a permanent base.

The development comes at a crucial time as former First Vice Chairman Hon. Richard Cliff Anatsui popularly known as “Zaffa” has intensified calls for unity, accountability, and renewed leadership ahead of the upcoming local elections.

In a message addressed to polling station executives, electoral area coordinators and delegates, Anatsui emphasised his commitment to service over personal gain.

“I am here not as a man of wealth, but as a servant with a burden, a burden to see our party rise again, united, respected, and truly working for its people,” he stated.

He urged party members to reflect critically on leadership within the constituency over the past eight years, stressing that true leadership should not be characterised by empty promises, silence in times of need, or internal division.

According to him, the constituency has suffered from unmet expectations, unequal distribution of opportunities, and a lack of cohesion among executives. He further revealed that ineffective leadership led to the loss of the party’s rented office and even land previously entrusted to the party.

With elections approaching, Anatsui cautioned against vote-buying, warning that monetary inducements undermine the party’s long-term strength.

He noted that “delegates are worth more than token payments. Loyalty and dignity cannot be bought. We would be far stronger today if we had invested these small amounts in building the party.”

While acknowledging that he may not be the wealthiest candidate, Anatsui highlighted qualities he believes are more valuable for rebuilding the party, which include commitment to service, inclusiveness, unity, and a clear vision.

He outlined a leadership approach centred on fairness and participation, where every polling station is valued, every executive respected, and every voice heard.

Describing the upcoming election as a “rescue mission” rather than a personal contest, he urged delegates to prioritise service over selfishness, unity over division, integrity over inducement, progress over stagnation

He concluded with a call to action for collective effort to build the NPP. “Let us rise, rebuild, and win together.”

Anatsui further expressed hope for divine guidance and blessings for both the constituency and the party as they prepare for the elections.
