Ho Municipal Assembly sets to commission more community project in a week

Municipal Chief Executive of Ho Hon. Divine Bosson has hinted that his outfit is set to commission some community development projects within the Ho Municipality of the Volta region.

The MCE made this known on Friday June 24 2022 at a ceremony held to hand over a newly constructed CHPS compound with Nurses quarters  to the Chiefs and people of Takla Community.

“The Ho municipal assembly have planned to commission all the development projects by the Assembly at Takla, Tokokoe, Matse, Lume and Ho from today Friday, June 24 to Friday 1st July 2022.  For what they say value for money, we have heard the contractor has done a good work which has not cost us any extra so we have to start using them”. The MCE hinted.

The impending projects to be commissioned according to the Ho MCE in the one week captured by Inside Ghana News Service (ignewss) includes: Zonal Council complex at Matse, Police Station at Tokokoe, CHPS Compound and Nurses quarters at Lume, all in the Ho Municipality

IGNEWSS again found out a 3 bed room semi detached staff bungalow at Ho (Ring Road) together with a Police Post built at Lume all form part of the impending project to be commissioned by the Ho Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Divine Bosson.

Checks from the Assembly revealed that, some of these projects were awarded under the former MCE, Hon. Prosper Pii Bansah, but was paid for and subsequently completed under Hon. Divine Bosson, the current Municipal Chief Executive for Ho with some funded with the Assembly’s Common fund.

At the commissioning ceremony at Takla Hon. Divine Bosson disclosed his plans of making Takla a tourist center due to the discovery of some crocodile species at Takla.

According to him, his outfit is aware of the pond being filled with mud therefore he is handing over the site to the municipal works Engineer to conclude on how to go about dredging the pond without killing the animals and make it more attractive.

He said this will boost tourism in Takla and for that matter the Ho municipality and also generate revenue to the community and the Municipality.

“Work will start on the site very soon. I was also told the said pond serves as source of water to the community so since myself and Togbe have the technical know how on the development,  I have handed that to my municipal Engineer and his officers to work on it” Hon. Bosson said.
