Takla gets new multi-purpose CHPS compound

Hon. Divine Richard Komla Bosson, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE)  has pledge more developmental projects across the Ho Municipality.

According to him, there is more room for improvement after he commissioned and handed over a newly constructed multi purpose CHPS compound to the chiefs and people of Takla Community in the Ho Municipality on Friday.

The project which cost five hundred and sixty thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc560,000), started in June 2021 and completed within five and half months by Messrs VIAN Enterprise,.

The project is said to have received funding from the World Bank District Performance Accessment Tool (DIPAT) and supervised by the works department of the Ho Municipal Assembly.

The Project however was completed and furnished with delivery and ward beds together with nurses quarters which contains two single room self Contain to stations the nurses in the community for effective service delivery.

Engineer Edward Kwasi Anyam, the head of works department in the Assembly, disclosed that despite work was completed early, the commissioning was delayed due to ECG meter shortage to connect power to the facility.

According to him, it is now left with mechanized water for the facility since the Ghana Water company has not yet extended water to the Takla Community.

Engineer Anyam added that, they only constructed a borehole to serve the facility through management appeal to the Assembly for it to be mechanize to enhance effect use of the facility,

He assured that the assembly will work out the cost to mechanize the borehole for the facility very soon.

The Ho Municipal Health Director Madam Victoria Kpeli commended the nurses for their dedications towards service despite the status of the old facility.

The director called on the community to provide the facility with Security while they construct a fence wall to protect the facility and the nurses.

She urged members of the community to help the nurses in taking care of the facility and also appealed to the Ho municipal Assembly to provide them with water storage and extension to the nurses bungalow and also help them with table and chairs for all departments

Madam Kpeli further charged nurses in the facility to inculcate good maintenance culture to ensure the facility withstand the test of time and also devote time to their clients at all time.

Togbe Ayim Adzokoto II, the paramount chief of Takla, expressed gratitude to the Ho municipal assembly for responding to their plight when they called on them for a health post and nurses bungalow.

Togbe also thanked the former and current District Chief Executives and the government for projects they brought to the community,

He further pleaded with them to also support the community with more deserving development projects including schools and water

He noted that, the road network from Ho to Kpenoe, Takla through to Hordzo need to be attended to as matter of urgency.

He pledged community support to the clinic saying “as much as they can do they will give their support at anytime”

The MCE however ordered for services to begin in the new facility on Monday June 27, 2022.
