He said it is in the interest of the station to always organize events that put joy and a memorable moments on listeners.
“We have realized that it is not deep-seated in us to go and visit tourists sites and we decided to take advantage of it for our listeners to go sight seeing, entertainment and enjoy themselves. We decided to take them along so that all our activities and programs will not just be listening to us through the electronic media means only but for them to go there themselves and see things for themselves” he said.
Highlighting the endowment of the Volta Region with so many tourists attraction sites he said: “there is no doubt that the Volta Region has most of the tourists sites. In as much as we have the tourists sites, is not everybody that has been there. So, the place maybe close to you yet you have not been to it. The promotion of such places start by taking our people there so that they can also have a feel of it” he noted.
He further said, the station is poised in promoting the many tourists attraction sites in the Volta Region for regional and national socio-economic development for sustainable growth.
He said the trip was not the first time the station had organized such holiday tours and excursions in the Volta Region.
He said last year, similar trip was embarked on to the Southern part of the region specifically Keta and Anloga Districts.
He gave the assurance that listeners should watch out for more of such events.
He spoke exclusively to Kingsley Attitsogbui during the ‘HO FM DU AGBE’ on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
