The Ho East Presbytery Great choir union (Hadzihaga) has on Sunday 30, October climaxed this year’s Bi-annual rally at Abutia Teti in the Ho East Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Ghana.
The Bi – Annual conference 2022 which was on the theme: “Revive us oh Lord! Heal Us the role of Hadzihaga”, is to deliberate on how to revive the union and the individual groups after Covid-19 pandemic.
According to them, the world’s deadly pandemic has dispersed and weakened the union for over three years.
Converging at Abutia Teti from Friday 28 to Sunday October 30, 2022, the union’s leadership engaged participants in several activities including clean up exercise before the Sunday thanksgiving service.
In his sermon, the Synod Moderator of the Ho East Presbytery Rev. William Seloame Alorvi, cautioned patrons to always identify their points of failure in life and use situations to rather think of achieving a positive goal.
Speaking on the sermon theme “He came to seek and save lost”, the moderator admonished Christians never to allow inadequacy to suppress them in anyway.
Presbyter Franklin Korsi Banahene the Union president in an interview appealed to the church to see to the welfare and growth of the union since the Hadzihaga (Great choir) is the first ever church choral group formed in the E. P. Church.
He urged the individual groups to encourage more youth to join the group to enable them to kill the perception that the Hadzihaga belongs to old men and women.
The day was also used to create awareness of the Church’s 175th anniversary celebration which is scheduled to be climaxed later in November 2022.
