Asogli State Council, has asked Togbe Adu-Bobi IV to desist from carrying himself as an Afetorfia of Ho Bankoe until further notice.

This follows the indefinite suspension of the Afetorfia of Ho Bankoe, Togbe Adu-Bobi IV directing him to stay away from all chieftaincy-related activities and programmes of the Asogli State Council.

Contained in a statement dated January 25, 2024 and signed by the secretary of Asogli state council, Stephen Tetteh, The Agbogbomefia of the Togbe Afede XIV has asked the Afetorfia of Bake, Ho Bankoe, Togbe Adu-Bobi IV to reflect on his actions that tend to breed division within the Asogli State.

“Your actions, which the Council deems as undermining the efforts of the Agbogbomefia to bring peace to the Zongo Community, have emboldened the faction you belong to, resulting in the issuing of threats of harm to the chiefs of Asogli”. The letter noted.

It further said, the Council has reliably informed of Afetorfia‘s affiliation with one of the factions involved in the impasse within the Zongo Community.

“Per this letter, you are directed to stay away from all programmes and activities organised by the Asogli State Council and also desist from carrying yourself as an Afetorfia of Ho Bankoe until further notice” the letter said.

The letter further asked Togbe to reflect on his actions, that tend to breed division within Asogli and also endanger the lives and properties of the people he had sworn to protect as a high-ranking Traditional Leader of Asogli.
