Mr. Andrews Kwadwo Amoakohene, popularly known as Adehyeman, has officially picked nomination forms to contest for the Constituency Chairman position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Techiman North Constituency of the Bono East Region.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination, Mr. Amoakohene appealed to party delegates to vote based on competence, commitment, integrity and leadership qualities rather than monetary inducements during the upcoming constituency executive elections.
According to him, the future and fortunes of the NPP in the constituency depend on electing capable leaders who can unite the party, strengthen its grassroots structures and prepare it for future electoral success.
Mr. Amoakohene stressed that effective leadership is essential to rebuilding the party and restoring the confidence of its members and supporters.
He further called on party faithful to remain united and avoid internal divisions, emphasising that unity would be key to the NPP’s efforts to recapture political power in the 2028 general elections.
He noted that every party member has an important role to play in repositioning the NPP and urged supporters to work together in the interest of the party.
Some party supporters who spoke to the media expressed confidence in Mr. Amoakohene’s leadership credentials, describing him as a hard-working, approachable and dedicated party member who has consistently served the interests of the constituency.
They expressed optimism that his leadership would help strengthen the party’s structures, foster unity among members, and enhance the NPP’s electoral prospects in Techiman North.
The NPP constituency executive elections form part of the party’s internal reorganising process aimed at electing new leaders to steer its affairs and prepare for future political contests.
