The Eastern Regional Police Command says calm has been restored at Larteh Ahenase following disturbances during the Odwira Festival celebration on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
In a statement dated October 4, the police said additional personnel had been deployed to intensify security and maintain peace and order in the town.
The Command said it was engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure lasting peace in Larteh.
It also warned that it would deal firmly with individuals whose actions breach the peace in the area.
The statement was signed by Chief Inspector Bridget Opoku of the Public Affairs Unit of the Eastern Regional Police Command.
