Processors and farmers in the cashew and oil palm sector have been urged to register for the Ghana Private Sector Competitiveness Programme (GPSCP).
This is to help strengthen their businesses and also improve productivity.
Speaking during a workshop organized for processors, farmers, and other stakeholders in Techiman in the Bono East Region, Madam Agartha Asare, Finance and Grant Officer for GPSCP, said the programme aims to promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth through enhanced trade and competitiveness in the cashew and oil palm value chains.
According to her, several obstacles continue to hinder sustainable growth within the cashew and oil palm sectors, affecting production, processing and market access.
She explained that the GPSCP has therefore been structured to provide a holistic solution to these challenges.
Madam Agartha Asare encouraged processors and farmers to take advantage of the programme by registering, stressing that it would help strengthen their capacity and create new opportunities for their businesses.
Some participants present at the workshop expressed gratitude to the organizers, noting that the training will help them improve their processing techniques and better position their products for both local and international markets.
