PWD’s advised to be ambitious to grow their businesses

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu Afram Plains North in the Eastern Region, Hon. Isaac Ofori Koree, has advised Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) who receive support from the District Assembly to put them into productive activities.

He said beneficiaries should not sell the items given to them but rather ensure they are used for the well-being of their family.

The DCE made the call when he presented some start-up tools and equipment to about 40 People With Disabitlity (PWDs) worth GH¢140,000.00.

The initiatve is to support their businesses and enable improve their living standards and socio-economic status.

The items including sewing machines, fishing nets and accessories, cassava grater, hair dryer and accessories, deep freezers and steel mini containers for shops, among others was aimed at equipping them to earn better living despite their challenges.
