The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has reacted to an audio in circulation on social media alleging some officers’ involvement in what they described as unprofessional conduct.

In the nine minutes nineteen seconds (9:19) audio, a man who gave his name as Dr Patrick Asiedu was heard narrating his ordeal with some police patrol personnel on his way from TRASSACO in Accra.

According to him, the police personnel numbering four pulled him over on the motorway and asked him to get down from his vehicle for police search to be conducted in the car.

He further alleged that, during the search, substances suspected to be narcotics were planted in his car by the officers and later attempted to extort money from him to prevent him from going to jail.
