A man believed to be in his 90s has been murdered by some unknown persons with the head missing at Kpetoe in the Volta region
The headless body was found in some palm trees on Kporta Korfe road within Kpetoe township.
Narrating the incident to ignewss.com, a unit committee Member in the area said, some two men went to the deceased, popularly called Afetor Yesu in search of room to rent.
The duo narrated their ordeal to the old man regarding their inability to get a place to rent and he (the deceased) decided to offer them a place to stay since they were strangers in town.
“He however escorted the men to find them a place to sleep leaving his wife and children at home and since has never returned until this evening after a heavy rain where information were gathered about his dead body been found in a bush”
Members of the community have assisted the Police personnel within the Kpetoe District Command to retrieve the dead body from the bush.
Police are yet to confirm the development at the time of this filing this report upon several calls
