Ghana Tourism Society appoints COP Doku as board member

Commissioner of Police, Francis Ebenezer Doku has been appointed as a board member of the Tourism Society of Ghana (TOSOGHA).

Mr. Doku, who is also a traditional leader of the Atua Manya Agbasi Clan and Ofrititi Stool of the Aklomuase Division of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area – Asafoatse Odjeblema Angmortey I, will focus on developing the tourism safety strategy and promote cultural tourism among the Ghanaian youth.

The appointment was announced in a letter to the Inspector General of Police Dr. Akufo Dampare, highlighting Mr. Doku’s long and successful career in the police force.

TOSOGHA’s Executive Director, Joseph Amartey, emphasized the importance of involving the youth in the tourism industry for sustainable growth.

The society works closely with professional bodies, trade associations, and governmental departments to promote tourism in Ghana and position itself as a leader in the region.
