The Volta regional police commander, COP Edward Oduro, has called on the general Public to continue to trust the Police service as they discharge their duties of protecting lives and properties.
He pleaded with the public to be calm in matters arising in the Akatsi South Municipality and trust the Police administration in maintaining peace and order in the society.
COP Oduro who was speaking on the back of the current misunderstanding that has emanated between the police and Youth of Akatsi in the Akatsi South Municipality which led to the alleged killing of one person and leaving two others injured.
According to the Commander the other victim are who sustained various degrees of injuries are in safe hands and since has been giving the needed treatment by the police service.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Akatsi Hon. Martins Kofitse Nyahe in an interview at the at the regional police headquarters disclosed that he has visited the two victims who are receiving treatment at the Baracks Hospital with some family members.
He however revealed to Inside Ghana News Service Reporter that, the victim will be released to the family after treatment but will be reporting to the police for any information leading into the investigation of the incidence.
He is very optimistic that the police will investigate the incidence and come out with the a result that can move the region forward.
The MCE urged the the family of the deceased and others injured victims to be calm as the Police carry out their investigations.
Meanwhile information reaching IGNEWSS from the MUSEC revealed that the two dead bodies in the Sunday incidence between the youth of Akatsi and the Police will be released to the family for burial.
