The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service said they have arrested Dr. Clemence Gyato in connection with the alleged unlawful demolition of buildings and structures belonging to the Accra Race Course at Borteyman in Accra.
Dr. Gyato was arrested on Thursday, September 10, 2026, as the CID investigates the circumstances surrounding the demolition.
The suspect is currently in police custody and is assisting investigators as the CID works to establish the full facts of the incident and determine the circumstances under which the structures were demolished.
The police said investigations are ongoing.
