Bishop Thomas Yeeboah Afari, Founder and Leader of The Builders Christian Church International, popularly known as Onyame Tease, has called on Ghanaians to honour, respect and appreciate fathers for their invaluable contributions to family and societal development.
Speaking in an interview on ASTA FM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show, Bishop Afari described fathers as the seed and source of life through whom many great things are birthed and nurtured.
According to him, fathers play a critical role in providing guidance, discipline, protection and support for their children while helping to shape the future of families and communities.
He noted that the sacrifices, dedication and hard work of fathers often form the foundation upon which successful families and prosperous societies are built.
“Fathers are the source of life, and through them many great things emerge. Their contributions to the growth and well-being of families must never be overlooked,” he stated.
Bishop Afari urged children and the general public to show appreciation to their fathers not only on Father’s Day but throughout the year by supporting them, respecting them and remembering them in prayer.
He emphasised that society can only thrive when fathers are recognised, valued and given the honour they deserve for the responsibilities they shoulder.
The renowned preacher further encouraged fathers to remain responsible, loving and committed to their parental duties, stressing that their conduct serves as an example to the younger generation.
He called on fathers to continue providing strong leadership within their homes and communities while instilling positive values in their children.
As families across Ghana reflect on the significance of Father’s Day, Bishop Afari’s message serves as a reminder of the indispensable role fathers play in nurturing future generations and promoting social stability and development.
