Detective Lance Corporal Confidence Tetteh of the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been recognised as the Overall Best Level 400 Student in her programme at the University of Cape Coast’s College of Distance Education, highlighting the ability of security personnel to combine public service with academic excellence.

Detective Lance Corporal Tetteh, who serves with the Cybercrime Unit of the CID, received the honour after attaining a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.8229 in the 2025/2026 academic year while pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Behaviour and Conflict Management.

Her outstanding performance also earned her the maiden Provost’s Award, becoming the first student in the history of the programme to receive the distinction.

In a statement celebrating the achievement, the Ghana Police Service commended Detective Tetteh for her commitment to both national service and academic development.

The Service described her accomplishment as a reflection of discipline, determination, and the pursuit of continuous professional growth, noting that she exemplifies the qualities of a modern police officer committed to excellence both in the line of duty and in the classroom.

Serving in the Cybercrime Unit, Detective Tetteh plays a role in investigating technology-related crimes while simultaneously advancing her academic career, an achievement the police service says demonstrates that professional responsibilities can be successfully balanced with higher education.
