V/R: Limited Voter Registration: 16, 286 registered in 7 days

The Volta Region has registered a total of Sixteen Thousand, Two Hundred and Eighty Six (16, 286) persons in the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

The figure covered the registered people from the first day of the exercise through to the seventh day.

Thus, from Tuesday, September 12 to Monday, September 18, 2023. A period of seven days.

The figure includes 8, 240 males while 8, 046 are females, totaling 16, 286 for the period under review.

Daily Statistics

On the first day, 716 people were registered, including 358 men and 358 women. On the second day, approximately 1,743 people were registered. The total reflects 904 men and 839 women, and 1,900 people registered on the third day, and this included 962 men and 938 women.

About 2,124 people registered on the fourth day—1,061 males and 1,063 females—and 2,899 people did so on the fifth day. On the fifth day, there were 1, 540 males and 1, 359 females.

The Sixth day had about 3, 299 people being registered. Out of the figure, 1, 596 were males and 1,703 females. By the end of day Seven, 3, 605 registered with 1,819 males and 1,786 females.

Thus, from the figures above, it is interesting to note that the numbers keep increasing for the days in ascending order progressively.

Meanwhile, the Ho Municipality, which hosts the Regional Capital, recorded a total of 1,130 new registrants for the first 7 days of the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

The Volta Regional 2023 Registration Statistics for the first week of the exercise was provided by the Volta Regional Electoral Commission’s Office.

The exercise which begun on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, is expected to end on October 2, 2023.
