Assemblymember, Albert Ansu Gyeabour, representing the Aboabo No. 2 electoral Area in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region has charged Parents, Guardians, and other stakeholders to support the Free Senior High School Policy to improve the quality of Education in the country.
In an exclusive interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, the Assemblymember highlighted the positive impact of the Free SHS policy in providing equal educational opportunities for vulnerable students.
He noted that the policy has successfully addressed the historical challenge where brilliant yet financially disadvantaged students struggled to access secondary education. Hon. Albert Ansu Gyeabour emphasized the collective responsibility to ensure the success and sustainability of the program.
Furthermore, he urged parents and guardians to promptly extend necessary support to their wards, stressing the urgency of fostering an environment that encourages and empowers students in their educational pursuits.
Hon. Albert Ansu Gyeabour also addressed a growing concern about the declining values among the youth.
He underscored the importance of parents being vigilant in cultivating respect and courtesy in their children, expressing concern that the current lack of respect for the elderly among the youth could have detrimental effects on the country’s future if not promptly addressed.
