Former Municipal Chief Executive of the Adentan Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah, has encouraged parents and teachers to prioritize instilling discipline in children, underscoring their crucial role as the future of our society.

Hon. Nii-Noi Adumuah conveyed this message during his speech at Mercy Islamic Primary School’s 20th Anniversary Speech and Prize Day on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

The event aimed to recognize and appreciate the dedication of both learners and teachers in the school.

The former MCE emphasized the significance of teaching children to listen and implement what they are taught, highlighting that they represent the investments of tomorrow.

He pointed out that ensuring children exhibit good behavior now will have a positive impact on future generations.

Adumuah urged parents and teachers to collaborate in training and guiding young minds, emphasizing that children possess clean slates in their minds that need to be filled with the right values and principles.

He stressed that investing in discipline now will yield responsible and successful individuals in the future, who will carry forward the aspirations of society.

“Our future investment is what we see today. If these children turn out to be very right, I believe that, when we are very old, our children will be able to take the frontiers and be able to show that the full potentials of education are being realized in them.

All of us have to put our energies together to train these young ones. They have clean sheets in their minds. What we put there is what will show forth in the future.

If we don’t put the right thing, they will be indisciplined children in the future. If we put in the right thing, they will be disciplined, they will be forbearers, they will be carriers of our dreams into the future.”

Mercy Islamic Primary School was established in 1998 under the name NGO African Movement FMC by Direct Aid.
