The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the North Tongu constituency, Dr. John Eleblu has swiftly launched into critiquing the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
He accuses Ablakwa of leveraging NPP’s projects for political gain.
During an exclusive interview at his residence, the 41-year-old Senior Lecturer and agriculturalist asserted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the current MP have failed to bring meaningful development to the constituency.
Dr. Eleblu claimed that the sitting MP relied on associating himself with government projects and media coverage to create an impression of hard work yet failed to deliver substantial results.
With the North Tongu constituency becoming a pivotal point for political discussions, the early onset of the battle for representation marks the NPP’s new candidate taking the initial stance against his opponent, the incumbent MP, Samuel Okudzeto.
The candidate believes it’s time for North Tongu to reward the NPP, as he accuses the NDC of falling short in meeting the constituency’s needs. Dr. Eleblu highlighted various projects undertaken by the NPP in the constituency, emphasizing their tangible contributions to North Tongu’s development.
As part of his campaign strategy, Dr. Eleblu stressed the importance of providing voters with a clear understanding of the party’s contributions and dispelling misconceptions. He pledged to illuminate the NPP’s accomplishments to counter what he described as the current MP’s populist tactics.
When questioned about his plans for the constituency, the NPP parliamentary candidate outlined a comprehensive agenda. This agenda includes targeted interventions in education, healthcare, and agriculture, with a focus on fostering sustainable development and enhancing the overall quality of life for North Tongu’s residents.
With the campaign gaining momentum, Dr. Eleblu expressed optimism about his chances, believing that the electorate is ready for a change that aligns with their aspirations for a brighter and more prosperous future.
